The Low Down

Comparing Views was built of the necessity to decipher which lens the media company who is writing the article falls politically.  During the last couple of elections the media has a big impact on what people are told about which is happening in our world based on which way they lean

This site was a completely custom coded site.  It uses WordPress with a news theme as well as an RSS feed plugin that allows us to import article from a number of different media outlet.  Currently it’s set up for 50.  We them custom coded to insert a poll that is inserted at the end of each post to allow readers to vote on whether they thing the article is Left, Right or Neutral.  This data is saved and calculated to ensure it shows up in the right sections.  Also inserted after each post is an article from an opposing opinion.

Each article is just a snippet of the real article with a link to the original article when it will overlay the original article to keep customers on the website.

We also added a forum and allowed users to create accounts to engage the website.
